PDM mic driver (non-Linux) for i.MX8M Mini

A customer would like to use the PDM mic interface on an i.MX8M Mini processor but they cannot use Linux. Therefore they are in need of a driver that is suitable for bare metal or to be used with an RTOS. Has such a driver been developed internally or are you aware of an open source solution that can be leveraged. 

This is fairly urgent so any input or guidance that can be provided is appreciated.
