Multiple Cameras on iMX8M Mini

We are planning to upgrade an old imx6Q product to (likely) imx8m mini.  We wish to support 2 MIPI Cameras (probably OV5640).  On imx6Q this seemed possible but on imx8 mini the MIPI CSI2 doesn't support virtual channels.  Does this mean we can only use a single camera?  thanks

    I'm facing the same problem "Using multi cameras with IMX8M Mini". Because IMX8 doesn't support virtual channel, I don't know how to split data. Do you have any solution?

Hello Lee,

The i.MX8Mmini Support up to 4 lanes of MIPI, please take a look at the Reference manual:

Thanks Bio_TICFSL. But how do I connect 2 x 2 lane MIPI cameras to 1 x 4 lane MIPI CSI input? Which one provides the clock?  How does the imx8m mini know what to do with the 2 cameras?
