For a project I am connecting a camera with a Google Coral board (imx8 running Mendel). However, the camera does not run the MIPI protocol but a parallel protocol. Hence, there is a bridge which converts to MIPI. But this means that there is no way of communicating with the camera with I2C. So we will have to write a custom driver for it without the I2C. We are already looking at the v4l2 to do this.
Because we have zero experience doing this, we wonder if there are any examples which we can look into, and where they are.
