Hello,
I am not sure where to post this but I need a starting point. I have an application where I need to serialize and send video over wireless. We're going to use a 2MP or 5MP camera but I am going to run it at 720p @ 30FPS. The camera out is MIPI so I need to a way to convert the MIPI to data, encode the data with H.264 and then output the result to SPI. I am now sure if the i.MX is a good choice or if an FPGA would be better. Any thoughts?
Hello Gregtronics,
You can see the MX8M or MX8MMini that has capability of MIPI CSI and has SPI on board with linux BSP the driver are in and the camera is OV5640 for 2Mhz and 5Mhz, if you have a different camera you will have to create your own driver on it.
