Kernel 5.4.70 fscrypt using yocto build

Hi,

Our linux kernel version is 5.4.70 and we're trying to use fscrypt on the imx6ul target.

I check "FS_ENCRYPTION" on menuconfig editor and bitbake the kernel image again.

I see yocto takes some time to finish (with no errors) but the image still doesn't have "fscrypt" command in it.

Maybe "fscrypt" user command is not part of FS_ENCRYPT?

Can someone help on how to add fscrypt user command to my image? Do I need to add a yocto package?

Thanks,

Ray

@RayC
Hello,

  Please try the recent release of AN12714 (Rev. 2, 02/2021)

< https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=AN12714 >

Also, please look at section 10.5 (Disk encryption acceleration)
of "i.MX_Linux_Users_Guide.pdf" in NXP Linux documentation for L5.4.70.

Regards,
Yuri.
