Issues with poky make

Hello,

I'm new to poky, make compilations, and linux kernel building.

I'm trying to follow the instructions below for cross compiling, but running into errors.

First setup the cross compiler

$ source /opt/poky/1.5.2/environment-setup-armv5te-poky-linux-gnueabi

$ unset LDFLAGS

Now create the zImage

$ make -j4 zImage

When I run the last command, I get the following error: "make: *** No rule to make target `zImage'. Stop."

Can someone please help me understand what's going on?

Note: I'm running in a VM of Ubunut 14.04.

I'm using the i.mx28 with Poky Dora.

could you tell me what board and bsp version you use? what purpose of your poky using?
