Issue in adding second camera sensor ov5640 in imx8mq

Hi all,

I am using imx8mq based SOM. I am using android_O8.1.0_1.3 Oreo release.

Can you please answer below query?

I am trying to add second ov5640 camera sensor. If i disable first camera in device tree and enable only second one, Second camera works. Is there any limitation that only one camera will work?

Any suggestions?

Hello,

This is because the camera is controlled by I2C, and both cameras have the same I2C address, you will need to modify the driver to make it work with two cameras. I apologize for the inconveniences this could give you.

Thanks for reply. I have one more question.

1. Camera application is not listing all the preview resolutions correctly.

2. Also, If i select a resolution, it is writing different resolution settings.

3. Video recording won't work?

Please let me know, the above are known issues with the release?

1. In preview mode, it doesn't list all resolutions.2. If i select a resolution, it writes different settings. 3. In video mode it lists till 1080p resolution, correctly writes settings.it doesn't show 5 mp resolution. Application issue ?

Also please let me know , whether 4k hdmi Monitor Support is there in the release.?
