Is it possible to write eMMC with 'dd' command in linux?

I use i.MX6 SABRE-SDP board.

I want to know whether writing eMMC is possible after booting from SD card slot or NFS.

yes it is possible, for example attached Linux Guide sect.8.3

shows such operations for both SD/eMMC.
