How to use User command mode control in i.MX6 IPU

Hi,

There is a description of User command mode control of  IPU on i.MX6 Reference Manual. However, there is no command resistor and timing description.

What is purpose of this function?

Hi Sugiyama 

seems this description was left from previous i.MX  (like i.MX53) IPU documentation for

asynchronous (smart) lcd, i.MX6 IPU does not support asynchronous lcds.

In asynchronous mode IPU can send data/commands to lcd.

Thank you for the answer, but it doesn't describe it in  i.MX53 and i.MX51 reference manual, too.

Anyway, I understood it is for asynchronous display and it is no longer supported.
