How to setup MCIMX8QXP-CPU Evaluation board at USB Host?

I'm booting from SD card that came with the evaluation board.  I'm booting with embedded Linux distribution that came with the board.

When I connect my usb device to USB Type C connector, does evaluation board think I connected a usb host?  

Attached are log when usb device is connected to evaluation board and when device is removed from evaluation board.

If evaluation board is setup as usb device, how can I set it up as usb host?

i. MX8QXP evaluation board is detecting USB devices because when I connect well know USB device, like USB Memory Stick, it gets detected.
