Hi,
I run the latest published Linux image L4.19.35_1.1.0_images_MX8MQEVK.zip on MCIMX8M-EVK. However, I found that the USB peripheral driver (drivers/usb/dwc3/gadget.c) has issue related to isoch transfers. I saw that the latest Linux kernel v5.4 implements a lot of fixes in this driver and I would like to test this code.
My question: How can I run the latest kernel on that board?
What I did so far: I successfully built the 5.4 kernel from github sources (using config from the above image) and replaced the kernel image and device tree blob on the SD card. But system boot fails because the kernel does not detect the SD controller.
Thanks
Udo
we haven't tested and released v5.4 version yet, you can only porting newer kernel driver on 4.19.35, don't need program v5.4 on imx8m board, we haven't supported v5.4 yet
