Hello to everybody,

Due to my bad attitude: DO NOT BACKUP WHEN YOU CAN... :smileycry:

I definitively bricked my two SD Card given to me with the IMX28EVK Package.

Are there any chance to restore them back having some sort of image?

I am using Linux as OS, so images in the format for use with command 'dd' they can be awesome!

My IMX28EVK has two labels:

- 700-26241 REV A

- SCH-26241 REV D

My two SD CARD (Sandisk SDHC Card 4GB) have those labels:

WINCE: (Class 2 SDHC) MX28EVK WINCE 110-77225 REV D

LINUX: (Class 4 SDHC) MX28EVK LINUX 110-77224 REV D

Both cards have the MBR and all partitions data and stuff wiped by a fdisk first, then a 'dd' command after, so they are CURRENTLY UNRECOVERABLE AT ALL.

Please help with a link or where I can find those images???

Best Regards,

Gianluca

For Linux : please use

section 5.1.3 (Writing the Boot Stream and rootfs to a Boot Medium)

and

Chapter 6 (Downloading Images using MFGTools) of

“MX28_EVK_Linux_User_Guide.pdf”

Documentation may be found in “Documentation” tab on the Web

Some good news!

Now I have found those files in Freescale's WebSite:

https://freescale.https.internapcdn.net/secure_freescale/ssl/secured/32bit/software/board_support_pa...

https://freescale.https.internapcdn.net/secure_freescale/ssl/secured/bsps/L2.6.35_1.1.0_130130_image...

I think they are the answer I was looking for. The only problem is:

they are a bunch of files (.sb, nb0, .bin, tar.gz, ...) and they need to be written to the sdcard with the correct tools or at the correct position/partitions.

Where I can find such informations? I would like to have some Official Documentation from FSL they explain how to partition/write/format SD Cards for using Linux and WinCE.

At that point I will have my cards back! :smileyhappy:

Any help, clue or whatever?

Best regards,

Gianluca Renzi

As for WinCE, please look at Chapter 6 (Downloading and Debugging Images) of “EVK_imx28_WinCE60_UG.pdf”

At first Eboot should be located on boot SD, please refer to section 5.3.2 (Installing EBOOT to SD/MMC

Card), then Eboot can load and burn WinCE image to SD, as described in section 6.2 (Downloading OS

Image to SD/MMC Card Using EBOOT). Note, one can apply to the approach, described under the link below

in order to avoid using the MS Platform Build.
