We (Freescale) are working with Oakland U. in Michigan on some joint i.mx projects. I've asked for a piece of prototype Linux C code that will make all of the necessary kernel calls to allow a neophyte to simply write some C and access the USB port. I intend to connect a USB I/O system to my Genesi net computer and build a remote home monitoring system. I currently have one running on Coldfire using code that Eric Gregori wrote.
