GPU driver upgrade for old LinuxBSP

Hi

2 monthes ago, latest BSP(L.3.14.52) was released and some GPU bugs were fixed.

Please see "i.MX Linux® Release Notes".

  * GPU driver upgraded to Vivante v5.0.11p7.4.

  * There were 3 kinds of kernel panic bugs.

According to the NOTE** below, driver can be upgraded.

So I want to try upgrading GPU driver (galcore) with old BSP(L3.10.17).

Have ever someone tried to backport/applied those GPU patches to old BSP?

NOTE**

If you replace the whole content in this directory, the GPU

kernel driver can be upgraded.

It seems not to be possible to backport the GPU drivers to earlier kernels, since the GPU hardware-specific code is provided in pre-compiled binary form by the GPU cores vendor.
