FP16 on GC7000L OpenCL

Hi

Just got imx8mq EVT board and did run clinfo tool on it. I was really disappointed that OpenCL on it does not have FP16 arithmetic support.

As per Vivante Wiki, GC7000L has capability to run FP16 in OpenGL shaders with twice higher GFlops.

Is there any way to enable it for OpenCL?

Hello Oleg Ostap,

Currently there is no support of cl_khr_fp16 and cl_khr_spir extensions in the OpenCL 1.2 driver (the current driver). I would recommend contacting Vivante to have more details of the hardware capabilities for FP16 support and to request more information on how to enable it.
