Driving odd LED/LCD panel formats

I am looking to drive odd panel formats with the i.MX8M - 1:1, 4:1 and 5.3:1 aspect ratios. Is there the capability to drive these formats and adjust the mipi output with a dumb LVDS converter (aka TI's SN65DSI84) to drive a panel directly or would I need an iumage converter like the Lattice SiliconImage series of devices?

Hi Chris

one can look at MIPI DSI panel driver for rm67191, which gives timing data without edid.

Adjust lcd timings in "struct display_timing rad_default_timing"
drivers\gpu\drm\panel\panel-raydium-rm67191.c

panel-raydium-rm67191.c\panel\drm\gpu\drivers - linux-imx - i.MX Linux kernel

sn65dsi85 example :

how to use ldb/lvds in android8 of imx8mq ?

boundary devices lcd settings:

Yocto release for i.MX 8MQ - Boundary Devices

Best regards
igor
