I'm using the Android Things Starter Kit with the PICO-PI-iMX7 board and the included 5" display.
I'm looking to get a larger display but I'm not entirely sure what the compatibility is. The included display uses an FPC connector (I think?), here's a link to it: https://shop.technexion.com/tdp0500t800480pcap.html
The board lists compatibility for two types of displays:
- 24-bit TTL RGB signals
- MIPI DSI on a 33-pin FPC connector
How would I know if the display is compatible? Do all TTL displays come with the same connector size/compatibility? Or is it like the FPC connector which seems to vary in size? Is there any way to use a standard HDMI monitor?
Thank you
Hello Subhan,
You can check the datasheet for PicoPi, where you can see the pinout of the conector:

Thanks for the reply.
I've checked the datasheet and I think this is the relevant one:

I've been looking for displays and I'm not sure how to know if they will be compatible or if I'll need some type of converter. Here are two that I found:

I'm a beginner to this and am purchasing components for development of my dissertation, and can only buy the components once. Any further help would be much appreciated :smileyhappy:
Thanks
I've also found the following:

The datasheet for that says it has a 50-pin 24-bit TTL interface, which in my mind is compatible correct?
