Difference between libGAL and libVIVANTE

Hi!

I'm new to i.MX6 so the answear to my question is probably obvious but I can't find it :smileysad:

So the question is: what is the difference between libGAL and libVIVANTE? I found that they contain lots of same symbols, so when should I use libGAL (btw. what the "GAL" stands for?) and when libVIVANTE?

libGAL is needed for those applications which will requires the gco and gal functions, while libVIVANTE has functions regarding vdk.

also, GAL stands for Graphics Abstraction Layer.
