Connection refused for Git clone from git.freescale.com

Hey,

I was trying to download kernel and u-boot sources of im6q for android. So, to clone the kernel files ran :

   "git clone git://git.freescale.com/imx/linux-imx.git kernel_imx"

output:

   "fatal: unable to connect to git.freescale.com:

   git.freescale.com[0: 192.88.156.202]: errno=Connection refused"

I have tried using http also and for multiple times in last 2 days.

Also, I want to know, generally which set files in the source code has to be a altered to build image for a board from other vendors.
