Communicate with FLEXCAN

Hi,

I have IMX6 sabrelite board and it has CAN controller and Transceiver as well, I am tested CAN interface between 2 IMX6 boards its working fine and i am able to receive data..

Now how i connect IMX6 board to any of the car's ODB2 port, is there any others connectors are needed or not please explain.

My aim is to connect my IMX6 board to car and get data on CAN bus..

Please explain me..

First, you have to connect your i.MX6 board to the CAN bus of the OBD-II connector:

Then, you have to study the OBD-II protocol:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs

And then you have to start entering PIDs from the processor and receiving parameters from the car's ECU and other systems.
