Can the 8MIC-RPI-MX8 be used with Android?

I have procured 8MIC-RPI-MX8 and want to use it to record audio on the imx8 Nano EVK board. I followed the getting started guide for the device but the mics could not pick any audio up. I think that it is because the mic does not run with Android on the chip. do you think this is true?

If not why do you think the mics are not picking up any sound?

Can someone also provide ways to run the mic with Android if they have tried working with it?

The 8MIC-RPI-MX8 board uses the PDM microphones and PDM interface of the i.MX8MMini/Nano processors, that is not supported by Android. Only regular SAI interface is supported by Android.

Hey.

The solution to use this I found was to take out the R24 resistor on the MIC. This is connected to the mute button on the MIC and this made the mics on the extension appear mute. After removing this I found that the mics pic up audio and record as well. Thanks for your help though.
