Currently i'm working on imx6 platform. we are using dvfs manager to scale down voltage and frequency . Can DVFS driver can scale down cpu freqency and voltage without using PMIC ?..
can some body explain me the difference between DVFS and PMIC ?
PMIC(PMU) means power management unit which can provide CPU request regulation voltage/current.
DVFS should be Dynamic voltage and frequency scaling which focus on a technical about CPU power loss and frequency.
