Can Connectivity

Hi ,

I have a IMX6 ULL evk board with me . My understanding is that it has a CAN Capability.

Can someone let me know the connector to connect a DB-9 connector to the Board, also if the base image that comes with the box has CAN enabled if not how to enable it.

All i.MX 6 supports one CAN with the default device tree on i.MX 6SABRE-AI. Supports both CANs using the FlexCAN device tree but has a pin conflict with FEC. Supports with the default device tree on i.MX 6SoloX-SD, 7Dual SABRE-SD, 6Ultre Lite EVK, and 6ULL EVK. With the platform that supports the FlexCAN module, FlexCAN supports CANFD mode.

Also you can take a look to the table Table 42. FlexCAN Driver Files on IMX Reference Manual.

Also, the i.MX6ULL provides a CAN access through the J1201 port.

If you cant provide me a Connector . Can you please let me know the use of each pin in the 8-pin port? like CAN0_H for which pin and CAN0_L for which pin etc.

If you are looking for the exact part number, is WF1250801200, but it appears is not longer in production.

You can refer to this link to see the pinout of the 9-pin D connector.

Thank you for the reply . I would like the connector to be used to connect the imx6ull board can port to the DB-9 Connector as the package of the board did not come with one included.
