I am using a custom i.MX8QM board with Android 11 1.0.0 and an OV5640 MIPI camera. The board design is based on the i.MX8QM MEK reference platform. The camera works fine in the Android Camera application. However, when using the camera with Zoom, there are RGB lines present in the camera preview window and on the video receiver side. The same problem occurs when using Skype.
The issue can be reproduced on the i.MX8QM MEK platform with the OV5640 camera.
I have tried various versions of Android 11 that were released by NXP. It seems that this issue was fixed in Android 11 2.0.0 for i.MX8QM MEK. The camera in Zoom works fine with this release. No RGB lines are present in the camera preview.
Does anyone have an idea which update(s) fixed this issue? Was this change in NXP code/firmware, Android code, or the kernel? I need to find a patch and backport it to Android 11 1.0.0.
Unfortunately, I can't update our system to Android 11 2.0.0.
Any suggestions?
