We noticed that the multi-channel audio codec, the CS42888, mentioned in the iMX8 reference manual will be discontinued. Any idea which chip this discontinued chip will replace?
There is no plan to replace the CS42888 so far. The demo board is just a reference design. Customer can choose an audio codec chip according to their requirements.
