We have tried 3.5mm jack on i.mx 8 quad max board where the mic and speakers(headphones) are working successfully in android automotive. But for the imx-aud-io card (cs42888) speakers are working but the mic in does not take the input or record voice we have used the given command tinycap test.wav -D 1 -d 0 -c 2 -r 48000 -b 16 to capture voice .......What can be the solution for this issue.

Note :- We are using android automotive 12 version.

Thanks and Regards,

UM

Hello, I hope you are doing well.

I suggest you take a look on audio route of Android Auto User's guide (8.2.1 Routing audio stream to different sound cards).

Best regards.

Hello,
I have followed all the steps for routing audio stream still my microphone is not working on imx-aud-io board.
Note :- We can hear music from speakers on the audio board but it does not take microphone input.
Could you please suggest other alternative.

Best regards.

Got it, thank you for the information.

Is this happening only on Android OS? What about Linux?

Which connector are you using to connect the microphone? Which microphone are you using?

Best regards.

Its happening with both the OS Android as well as Linux.
We are using the RCA connector.
The microphone we are using is the 3.5mm jack collar microphone which we have soldered to the RCA connector...
Best regards.
