Booting from SD card

Hi Team 

We made our options  to boot  from SD card during internal Boot, Can you please confirm when clock should come.Does it samples  CD  pin , then clock  will  come  after  ensuring SD  card is there or  something else  ? What is  sequence  of  whole  process?. 

How handshaking happen between  SD card and processor ?
