Marshmallow Version: 6.0.1_2.1.0
Kernel Version: 4.1.15
u-boot version: 2015.04
We are using a custom board, based on imx6q pop(lpddr2) package. We are occasionally facing reboot due to timeout of watchdog.
This issue is completely random. However, we are able to recreate the issue by running GPU stress test application (Skycastle 2 3D) and VPU application. We have faced this issue while using camera application too.
If the watchdog is disabled the kernel hangs indefinitely.
We are unable to see any log messages during this issue.
We are not seeing this issue in imx6q ddr3l.
Please guide me to figure out the root cause of the issue.
Hello,
Sorry for the delay.
Can you please run the bellow command using adb:
adb shell dmesg
This will give us useful kernel messages.
Best Regards,
Diego.

I am glad that the problem was solved.

Diego
Hi,
That fix has created another issue. After running for certain duration the screen freezes and the services get killed. But I am still able to access the prompt.
Faced the kernel hang issue in Linux release while stressing the gpu using glmark2 application.
Note:
Multiple instances of glmark2 were run to load the gpu.
