Hi,
I want to ask something about a software we are using for a chip, namely: Advanced toolkit V1.67. We program the chip MCIMX31CVMN4D with the serial bus. The problem is that I cant give commands with the commandline. Is this not possible with advanced toolkit 1.67? Otherwise, do you have alternatives, what are the costs?
Can you give me today a feedback to me please.
Greetings.

Hello Harun,
I think we may misunderstood your question ATK tool can b e used by serial port to download the code to the board, but Is that what you are meaning with Serial Command line commands or you want to have a terminal where you can send commands to the board? If this is the case then ATK does not have support for this feature. And the source code, can be used to create a mini terminal so you can have that.
Have a great day,
Jaime

Hi Jaime,
I think we misunderstood each other. So what I want to ask, to know is:
At this moment we use ATK v1.67 software to flash a IMX31CVMN4D chip. We have a test setup with 6 modules to program, this means we want to program 6 IMX31CVMN4D chips all together. For this action we need commandline commands of ATK, but this isn’t possible!!
So, my questions are:
-What will it cost for developing commandline by freescale for commandline with ATK?
-Are there alternative software for flashing IMX31CVMN4D chips, with commandline options ?
Thanks in advance,
Harun Unalan
Harun,
We are looking your local FSL sales to contact you, to discuss about the cost for developing the tool, since we do not find any option with our actual tools. To solve your scenario. And this require a private discussion.
Hello James,
I would like to know what the develop costs are by freescale for this issue with ATK (Advanced Tool Kit)
So, we want a commandline for programming:
The commandline must contain the following commands:
-able to select the comport
-able to select imx cpu
-able to device memory initial or custom initial
-able to selectoperation in flashtool (operation type, flash device, operation setting, image etc) or by adding a CFG file with the command.
So what I am asking is what will this costs us and the duration of this development. Can you please give feedback about this today.
Greetings,
Harun.
Hello Harun,
Unfortunately this is out of my scope. I am not able to provide some qoute. you can use the link of the Engineering Services, and ask for a qoute, we already notified one of the team in Europe and they will contact you. But I am not sure would be today.

Unfortunately our tool was made for the PDK board and not for a mass production, have you try contact the memory manufacturer if they can help you with the flashing of the devices? they may have something like the ATK tool.

Hi Harun
Advanced toolkit does not support command line, however
seems one can add such functionality himself using sources
IMX_ATK_SOURCE_CODE : Source Code for the Flash tool
If you wish that Freescale implemented that for you can contact
Freescale Professional Services to develop it.
