AR8031 Ethernet Phy + iMX8QM custom board

Hello team,

We have a custom board based on iMX8QM. We are using AR8031 ethernet phy. Our phy device is detected at address 4 and successfully attaches to eth0 interface. ifconfig output shows eth0 interface. But in ethtool output we observe link detected: no. Any suggestion or checkpoints for this type of issue? We are using yocto warrior build kernel version 4.19.35. We face the similar issue in uboot as well where phy is detected but mii status register read returns link as down.

Also from AR8031 datasheet we see digital loopback test. Any suggestions on how to perform this?

Hello Arun,

We are facing the same issue in our custom carrier board (i.MX8 QM and AR8031). We have 2.2k resistor mounted in MDIO lines path. Issue is still the same . can you please help us out?
