Hi all

I have a problem with the 8bit data width of LCDIF.

I'm trying to use LCDIF with 8bit data width in i.MX6SL.

Does the driver which is in NXP's BSP supports 8bit data width of LCDIF in i.MX6SL ?

According to the following thread, the driver doesn't support 8bit data width in i.MX6SX.

IMX6SX LCDIF 8bits

In my understandings, the BSP use same driver in i.MX6 series.

Actually, the iMX6SL stuck when I tested with 8 bit data width.

On the other hand, it doesn't stick when I tested with other data width such as 16, 18, 24 bit

.Could you tell me whether the driver which is in NXP's BSP supports 8bit data width of LCDIF in i.MX6SL or not ?

yes, they are familar, refer to the Reference Manual, lcdif supports 8bit lcd, but in current bsp, which doesn't support it, just for 16,18 and 24

Hi Joan Xie

Thank you for reply.

Does NXP have any reference driver to support the 8bit lcd ?

Or do you know where to fix ?

I dont' find such driver for this, but if you use 8080 display on eLCDIF, maybe you can refer to this document, mx6 has the same LCDIF IP as mx50
