use hardware acceleration to speed up OpenCV performance

I used OpenCV3.4.16 to process images on iMX8QM, but the performance does not meet our requirements.
Now I want to use hardware acceleration to speed up OpenCV performance.
Could you give me some guidance about hardware acceleration for OpenCV?

We build our own OpenCV library and add it into our Android on iMX8QM but we do not know how to enable hardware acceleration.

Would you provide us with the method?

Or which openCV library for hardware acceleration do you use? 

By kernel configuration, would you provide us with the config name you mentioned or something?

The opencv is able by default, if you think or your program is no used, you can enable from the kernel configuration as GPU Enable.
