Running into hardfault when getting Thread Router in Hybrid App

Hi,

I'm running hybrid app (ble + thread) on KW41z processor. Everytime when the module is getting into a thread router, the application is running into a hard fault. After a quick system reset (reboot) the kw41z is a regular thread router and works stable in this mode (as long it does not change the device role again).

Why does this happen? Are there any known quirks? Are there some hints, settings, etc. which I can do or modify to not run into a hard fault?

Could you provide more details about the application:

- what release are you using and what is the application?

- are you using IAR or MCU Expresso?

I'm using Connectivity Framework 1.0.2 and Kinetis Design Studio 3.2.0.

The application is based on ble_thread_router_wireless_uart example project.

Is it recomendable to update to MCU xpresso Software?

Is there a newer Framework available?

Hi Joachim,

Yes, it is a new release from January this year running with MCU Expresso. 

SDK could be downloaded from the following link : https://mcuxpresso.nxp.com/en/select by selecting the right board.
