OTAP app now fails on my MKW30Z custom board that used 2 work, how to downgrade to an older version ?

Could you please describe the issues with the new version? Also please include brand, model and Android version of the smartphone you are using to perform your tests.

I just started working with the FRDM-KW41Z and I have not been able to get the OTAP portion of the Kinetis BLE Toolbox to see the board.  I have tried on both Android and iOS.

Android Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935P Android version 7.0

iPhone 6 MG6G2LL/A iOS 10.3.2

On the eval board I flashed frdmkw41z wireless examples bluetooh otap client att freertos

Once loaded press SW4 to broadcast per the user document, however the device never shows up.

The other apps, Beacons, Heart Rate (I have not tried all) work as expected.

Is the OTAP functionality completely broken?

Actually, it started working.... not sure what I did differently but seems functional now.  At least it sees the board.

I will try actually flashing something tomorrow.

That said the Mobile App source / examples would be EXTREMELY helpful.

Hi,

Tested with new PCB based on  MKW30Z, OTAP works ok.

(my MKW30Z contains one additional characteristic + otap, battery and device info)

Than after update to new version of Kinetis tool for Android on Play Store.

When I try again to connect to PCB, app fails.

Than the background turns black after a few seconds with same pop-up message.

Both ok and report buttons works. If ok app returns to selection window.

Tried to reset the tablet, tried to uninstall / reinstall the app, same output.

TAB: Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016)

Model: SM-T580

Android:  6.0.1

I need older version for testing OTAP.

Tested on another Galaxy Tab A SM-T555, Android 6.0.1, new version of app fails in the same way.

Tried with a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (SM-G935F) and Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) and new app works ok on same PCB, same android Android 6.0.1.

Please provide a fix or some downgrade for Galaxy Tab A versions.

Since this is a specific case we´re not able to provide a fix or return to the previous version of the app.

Strange, there is not Backward compatibility ?

So the company policy is to develop a new software for less device to work with ?

So the tablets are not supported any more ?
