KW01 cannot work on windows 10

1: I have installed mbedWinSerial_16466.exe on wondows 7 professional, and it works OK. But I install mbedWinSerial_16466.exe on windows 10, it doesn't work. The Mbed has a error TIMEOUT message and the serial port doesn't work either. Does anyone have KW01's driver?

2: But I reconnect the board of KW01 to the windows 7 PC, it doesn't work. It show "The program secure" when I use IAR to reprogram the bin file to KW01 at first time. Why the KW01 is secure by windows 10?

3: How to disable the Mbed? I need the UART port only.

I download the bin file from OpenSDA Serial and Debug Adapter | NXP  and update it. The problem of serial port still exists. How to fix it?

Could you please try our Connectivity Software? FRDM-KW01.

The software provides wireless examples and also the drivers for this MCU.

How is your device manager showing the KW01?

Did you try to program the KW01 with IAR? Did you change the debugger option when you try to download?

I program my code to MKW01Z128 with IAR. But, I don't program any code to MK20DX128VFM5. (OpenSDA interface)

I still can't find bin file of FRDM-KW019032 to upgrade my board. I don't know which bin file is compatible to use. I can download the bin file from USB.

Hi Ted,

Could you please update the OpenSDA bootloader?

The download binary is not available for the KW01, but you could use the OpenSDA v2.2 bootloader that is available in the K64 MCU.

Hi Mario,

I followed your guides. I downloaded the latest DAPLink software and the version is 254. Using KEIL to build the project of k20dx_frdmk64f_if and I got 4 bin files. They are  k20dx_frdmk64f_if.bin,  k20dx_frdmk64f_if_crc.bin,  k20dx_frdmk64f_if_crc_legacy_0x5000.bin  and k20dx_frdmk64f_if_crc_legacy_0x8000.bin.  I downloaded k20dx_frdmk64f_if.bin to openSDA interface through USB. The issue is fixed. Thank you very much.
