Hello,
For reasons that I will wirte about in another post, I erased Config memory on JN5189 using DK6Programmer and now I cannot communicate with with device using DK6Programmer
I would like to ask for way to restore this memory, please.
Marcin
Hi @Marcin1,
What is the command that you used to erase that specific memory?
The JN5189 provides a bootloader in ROM that could help you with this setup.
What is the command that you are typing?
Could you please type the next command?
DK6Programmer.exe -s COM11 -h

Mario
Hi @mario_castaneda ,
Thank you for fast response.
I used command:
DK6Programmer.exe -s COM11 -e Config
Every command with DK6Programmer.exe -s COMx for chip with erased Config memory i got:
Error opening connection: Read error
Response after -h command:

Marcin
Hi @Marcin1,
Could you please try to press the ISP button before you type the command?
However, is it possible that you could try to program the device using the MCUxpresso using CMSIS or Jink?
Regards,
Mario
Hi, @mario_castaneda
I can not program my device using MCUxpresso.
Sorry but it is also not that simple to press ISP button in my system.
Is there any other options to fix it?
If not I will try to press ISP button but it makes me to put a lot of effort.
Regards,
Marcin
Hi @Marcin1,
Did you get the previous Config information?
DK6Programmer.exe -s COM11 -r Config
some parameters (trimming parameter) are written in our factory, they would necessarily be different so you could expect problems in the radio behavior if we write different ones.
Please do not erase the Config information.
Regards,
Mario
Hi @mario_castaneda ,
Thank you for your response.
I'm sorry, but I can not get previous Config information from that chip. I can get it from other chip if it's needed.
The problem is that -s function does not work for that chip.
Is there any other option to write data besides DK6Programmer -s COMx function?
Regards,
Marcin
Hi @Marcin1,
Please do not erase the config file.
I highly suggest that must not erase the CONFIG page, and for the erased device, if you do not save the previous information the device is can not be recovered because it needs some parameters from our factory.
What config values that you want to modify?
Regards,
Mario
I would like to know if there is way to somehow write new config values into Config memory.
I do not know which values i need to modify. I suppose that I need to write all of them.
Regards,
Marcin
Hi Marcin,
I look if there is a way to reprogram the CONFIG values.
I highly suggest you that must not erase the CONFIG page.
Unfortunately, the erased device is bricked. Each device has different CONFIG values preprogrammed in our manufacture.
Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.
Regards,
Mario
Hi @Marcin1,
I am checking the problem that you have. The command erases the complete config information and the tool needs that information for programming purpose.
I am checking if there is a way that you could reprogram some values in this case.
Please do not type this command again.
Regards,
Mario
