Jozef: just logged into the system successfully (7:44AM). Thanks to try again.
I would like to, but system is currently unavailable. I will try it tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be available.
Thank you for your help.
@Jozef, please enter a ticket for support on our support site and a team will quickly look at this.
Thanks
@Jozef, please send me the screen shot via email to flavio.stiffan@freescale.com. I will send it to the CW team. It runs on Windows 7 but I am not a specialist
@Gabriel, curves are by increment of 90deg. We have hill, speed bumps, tunnel and more. You can find some of the pictures on StreetSmarts at this link. You can use the attached track designer file to create a simple loop template for testing your vehicle Track_Designer%20for%20the%20Freescale%20Cup.pdf
where can we find a template of the official track ?
I've found one on a CD from USA but if you say that the curves can be sharp I think there is a new track generator.
Another thing :
You tell us that on the official track can be a hill and a speed bump ? at what angle will they be , so that we can build it on our university.
Track features and hints.
One of the features of this year's race.... a tunnel! Not bad for cars that have to follow a black line on their own. Tunnel clearance is 30cms... careful if you are planning to position your CMOS camera high up! The track also includes sharp curves, speed bumps and a hill (make sure you have enough battery power to pass it!!)
@ Matej:
You can use up to 16 sensors of which the camera provided is already 1 of them, this means you can add up to 15 other sensors or cameras. I strongly recommend that you look at the Freescale Sensors offering with Magnetometer and Accelerometers on our sensor home page
According to competition rules:
"9. The following limits on hardware will be enforced per vehicle:
(...)
c. Maximum of sixteen (16) sensors
i. CMOS camera sensor is 1 sensor
10. Teams must use one of the following camera options:
(...)"
We have question about this part. Does it mean we can use:
a) up to 16 cameras which models must be listed in 10th point.
b) ONLY one camera
Pawel,
Please contact Aleksandra Laskowska at ALaskowska@farnell.com. Farnell normally does not stock CMOS cameras but they told me that they can help.
some might really run "around" the track :D
yep, yep, yep!
We have received the kits and we are all excited !!!
Sorin,
The kits were sent to our office in Romania for distribution 2 weeks ago and confirmed delivered. I recommend for your coordinator to contact our local office in Bucharest to check. I will also check from my side.
As you know , Freescale is a big company and they are very busy .
You'll just have to wait..
