PTP/IEEE 1588 on multiple frame managers

The manual for the IEEE 1588 Device Driver states under Known bugs and limitations that "For DPAA, the PTPd stack limits to use only one ptp timer, so only the interfaces on the second FMAN(such as fm2-gb2) are available for PTPd if the platform has two FMANs" Is this a hardware limitation or just a limitation for the device driver?

It is driver limitation. The QorIQ errata list does not have information about similar limitation. The IEEE 1588-2008 Quick Start was developed for the P1025-TWR board. There is no the second FMAN on the P1025.
