Hi,

I am the TA of the Real Time DSP course at Arizona State University.

One month ago I contacted license@freescale.com for support since we have online students and need to access CodeWarrior remotely.

One week later, the support responded with a new license file that supports terminal services.

I tried the license but it didn't work, I made sure through the IT people at ASU that it is not a firewall problem with the server.

I contacted back license@freescale.com  (for than once) saying we have an issue with the license where the License Authorization fails.

It's been now three weeks and still no reply.

Now online students cannot perform the lab!

I wonder if someone is monitoring the inbox of license@freescale.com

In addition, I put a service request on freescale website with high priority, after a while my request was forwared to license@freescale.com and the service request is now closed.

I don't know whom to contact, any ideas??

Thx

Just wanted to post an update on this thread.

FSL Licensing Team is now in touch with Rony and troubleshooting their floating license issue.  The latest issue appears to be some kind of connection issue between the server and client.  I will send an updated post once this issue is resolved.  We are now waiting on feedback from the IT person in charge of the server at the University and will proceed forward from there.

Huma,

I wanted to let you know that the licensing team has now replied to your issue regarding your MPC5xx v8.0 license file.  We have regenerated your license file to correct for the mistakes and you should not experience those same problems going forward.  Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Hello,

Your problem has been forwarded to appropriate team and its management.

You can also note that the registrant name is NOT facultative in your Freescale profile details.
As you didn't gave proper details during the registration, it could give a slow response in order to check your absence of details and match it with something real...

I advise you to update your Freescale profile details to comply to the Terms and Conditions you agreed to.

Regards,
Alban.

Hello Rony,

In my previous post, I was referring to user registration and not product.

Registering as a Freescale.com user
To register to Freescale.com, no Registration Code is required.
You actually don't even need to be a Freescale Customer to create an account and receive updates on the Company and its products.
To post on these Forums, a Freecale.com account should exist and its details should not be garbage.

Registering a Freescale product
It depends on what the registration is for.
There is always free support generally speaking, but paying customers gets extra (of course!). Registration is not necessary to use all Freescale products.
This should be described on the product. If no detail exist in the archive downloaded or on the packaging.
You can contact license@freescale.com.

Please note that I received a message from the Licensing Team:
They acknowledge that because of problems with the automatic license generation; employees are handling all requests manually and are seriously overloaded. They are working on a technical solution.

I hope this helps...
Alban.
