Using pressure sensor for measuring weight

Can I use pressure sensor to measure weight. I need small range 0-3 kgs, it will be mostly used as kitchen weiging scale, accuracy not important. Please let me know whether it can be done, if it can then how can it be done.

Hello Selvakumar,

Yes, it can be done. However, you would need to transfer the force of the weight into a pressurized media, i.e. you could connect the pressure port of the sensor to a plastic airbag, then depending on the weight you put over the airbag, the pressure will change.
