Pressure Sensor MPXHZ6130AC6U - Port Question

Hello,

Looking to move from MPXHZ6130A6U  to MPXHZ6130AC6U. Based on the review of the datasheets, it seems both are electrically equivalent with the exemption of the dimensions, such as height.

Questions:

1) How does the single port on MPXHZ6130AC6U affect its performance compared to that of MPXHZ6130A6U? Are these two functionally equivalent?

2) Is there a height clearance recommended for the single port for MPXHZ6130AC6U?

3) Is there a replacement recommended by MFG for MPXHZ6130A6U that has similar tolerances or tighter?

Thanks,

Anthony

Hello Anthony,

please see answers below.

1) How does the single port on MPXHZ6130AC6U affect its performance compared to that of MPXHZ6130A6U? Are these two functionally equivalent?

[A] The two pressure sensors are functionally equivalent. The MPXHZ6130AC6U has an advantage of an output port with possibility to connect a hose to the port. Disadvantage is the height.

2) Is there a height clearance recommended for the single port for MPXHZ6130AC6U?

[A] We don't have a clearance recommended for the port. It must be left open to be able to measure the ambient pressure.

3) Is there a replacement recommended by MFG for MPXHZ6130A6U that has similar tolerances or tighter?

[A] We have a MPXHZ6116A6U drop in replacement for the MPXHZ6130A6U if the height is important for your application and the MPXHZ6130A6U is not available, you can consider to use the MPXHZ6116A6U. Is has a smaller Vfss and it has a smaller pressure range. Measures pressure from 20kPa to 115kPa. Please find a datasheet attached.

With Best Regards,

Jozef
