MMA8652 affected by sound vibration

Hi, I am using MMA8652 in my project which also have Audio/Speaker. The speaker's vibration is affecting the data of the 3D accelerometer. At some point the vibration is considered as a TAP. Do you have any recommendation on how to mount MMA8652 or the speaker to avoid affecting my data. Thanks!

Hello Edmon,

In this case I recommend moving the pulse threshold value in order to avoid the undesired TAPs.

In order to change the threshold value, you may refer to the PULSE_THSX/Y/Z register.

In order to get detailed information about the TAP detection, you may refer to the Application Note AN3919​.
