Is MPX2102 waterproof

Hi NXP Team,

      We are choosing a pressure sensor which is used to test the pressure of gas and MPX2102 is suitable for us. The gas maybe contain vapor for it is exhaled through the mouth. So I want to know if 

MPX2102 can support waterproofness. Otherwise . are there other nxp waterproof pressure sensors for recommending.Thank you!

Hi Troyson,

The MPX2102 is available only with a default fluorosilicone gel that is not supposed to survive exposure to water vapor molecules. 

I would recommend considering another type with an improved media resistant gel (MPXAZ, MPXHZ, MPVZ series).

       Thank you for your great supports. Can I think that MPXAZ, MPXHZ, MPVZ series sensor can supports the gas which is in high humidity ? Thank you!

Yes, those series operate more reliably in high humidity conditions.
