Hi Kan,

Re SE050 APDU Specification (nxp.com)

4.7.2 ImportExternalObject

Note: The APDU “ImportExternalObject” must not be used without first contacting
NXP to avoid potential problems. If you have used or plan to use the APDU
“ImportExternalObject,” please make sure you contact your NXP representative.

I consider this as an alternative to KEK, perhaps unnecessary complicated. Could you point me out to any source code exemplifying this workflow? Why does it say to contact NXP representative?

Hi @psvz ,

Please kindly refer to "simw-top/doc/demos/se05x/se05x_ImportExternalObjectPrepare/Readme.html" for details. There are some guide for the cases using this command , depending on the purpose you want to achieve, so if you want to use this command, please kindly tell us what you want to do and we will check if there is anything you have to take care.

Hope that makes sense,

Have a great day,
Kan
