SE050: writing cardlets/applets via GlobalPlatform?

Hello NXP support, hello everybody!

The SE050 specifications and data sheets list this family as having JavaCard version 3.0.5 and
GlobalPlatform GP 2.3.1.

The variant identifier lists which Applets are pre-installed. And there's 50k User memory.

However, I didn't find any documentation on whether and how custom cardlets/Applets can be installed.

Q 1: Is it possible at all to install cardlets on SE050?

Q 2: If possible, which SE050 variants are suitable, and which document IDs (including Docstore) are relevant for this?

Do all SE051 variants support custom applets?

Hi @JWilkes ,

To upload custom applets , you have to select P2 variant, others just support IoT applets update as well as Configure EdgeLock SE051 using the PERSO applet. Please kindly refer to https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=AN13015 for more details.

I am sorry, but SE050 doesn't support custom applet, you have to look at SE051 instead. Please kindly refer to https://www.nxp.com/products/security-and-authentication/authentication/edgelock-se051-proven-easy-t... for details.
