Hi everyone!
I downloaded the JCOP Tools plugin (version 5.32.0.4) a few days ago. I successfully obtained it and added it to Eclipse IDE 2024. I am following the training video for installing Eclipse/JCOP Tools available here:
https://www.nxp.com/design/design-center/training/TIP-SECURE-ELEMENT-COMMON-JCOP-TOOLS-PART-1
When I try to create a new Java Card project, an activation dialog appears with three activation methods for the plugin.
I attempted to use the first option, which involves activating the plugin with a licensed installation for JCOP Tools. However, I couldn’t find the activation workspace in my folder directory. I assume that NXP doesn’t provide it in the JCOP Tools package.
The second activation option requires running a JCOP engineering sample through a reader, but none of my readers qualify as "JCOP Engineering Samples".
Finally, I tried the last option, which involves using an activation code. I have a serial number provided by Eclipse IDE, and I found that I need to request the activation code by emailing tools.jcop@nxp.com as mentioned here:
https://community.nxp.com/t5/Secure-Authentication/JCOP-Tools-Activation/m-p/1677996
However, I am unsure if this email address is still valid. I created a support case to get a response regarding this issue but couldn’t find anyone with access to the necessary JCOP information to assist me.
Here are my questions:
We are eager to use this plugin as soon as possible. I hope someone can assist me with this matter.
Best regards,
Developer
