• SM4.REDUNDANT_IO is for ASIL D 99% DC?

For us, we required the DC corresponding to ASIL B.

In this case, which safety mechanism can be alternative instead of SM.REDUNDANT_IO?

Hello,

When running an ADC selftest the ADC will not be able to be used by the application code.  That is what was meant by "have to stop the application and run this test".  Other parts of the application can run that are not using the ADC.

Regards,

John

Thank you very much for your answer.

What do you mean "have to stop the application and run this test"? Can you specify in term of the implementation perspective?

Hello,

The ADC Self-test (SM1.ADC_SELF_TEST)- Periodic test of correct ADC operation, can be done in place of SM4.REDUNDANT_IO for ASIL-B application.

The ADC Self-test will not be able to run with the application, you'll have to stop the application and run this test, then resume the application. Run this test periodically, once per FHTI, to get sufficient coverage.

Ehtesham
