How can customers enable the PMC self_test trigger in fuse?

Hi Team,

According to the following SM description, Self-test of LVD and HVD shall be performed in PMC fuses:

Assumption: [SM_144]The hardware-assisted self-test of LVD and HVD must be performed during startup. [end]

The above assumption is per the default configured in the PMC fuses.

I got confirmed from the product/test team, the he_selftest_trigger in fuse is not enabled and the PMU_Lock field is locked on sample chip.

How can we support customers to fulfill the [SM_144] in their design?

Attach the fuseMap for your reference.

Hi aarul,

Customer wants to know the threshold value of LVD/HVDs and how to configure them? The board is also S32V234.

looked into the OCOTP registers and couldn't figure out what these values meant.

Hello Baiguo,

These threshold fuses are not intended to be used by the customer.  You'll notice the lock bit for these fuses is PMU_LOCK.  These fuses are written and locked by NXP as part of the device production flow.  They are used internally as part of the device Reset process to set the correct LVD and HVD levels.

They are not required in order for the customer to implement the PMC self-test in the application software.

Tom

Hi Tom,

Based on your reply, my understanding is that the customer cannot configure the LVD/HVD thresholds. But is it possible to know the exact LVD/HVDs threshold configuration? Customer wants to know the threshold values.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Baiguo

Hi Baiguo,

Yes your understanding is correct.  Please note that the screenshots of the fusemap you have shown earlier in this post are from an old version of the Reference Manual fusemap.  If you take a look at the latest version from the website you'll notice all of the rows which were marked as 'Document for Customer - No' have been removed.

We cannot provide the definition of the trim registers to the customer unfortunately.

Regards,

Tom
