Hello, @karthik_nikil

Thanks for your post.

I suggest downloading the RTD2.0.1 for the S32Z evaluation.

1. Downloading the SW32ZE_RTD_R21-11_2.0.1_D2505_DesignStudio_updatesite.zip from your NXP account.

2. Open the S32DS3.6, and install it to the S32DS by clicking Help->"S32DS Extensions and Updates"

Then select the RTD mentioned above and then install the following:

Hello @chenyin_h,

Thank you for your response.

I have downloaded the exact RTD package you mentioned:

I am using S32 Design Studio 3.6.6 on Linux.

Steps I followed:

  1. Opened S32DS 3.6.6

  2. Went to Help → S32DS Extensions and Updates

  3. Clicked Add Update Site

  4. Selected the above RTD ZIP file

After adding the update site successfully, I do not see “Real Time Drivers (RTD)” explicitly listed in the available software list.

Hi @karthik_nikil

Were you able to find a way around this situation? I am facing the same issue while trying to install RTD for S32Z2.

Hi @hneelabh ,

Yes, I was able to get past this issue. I switched my OS from Linux to Windows, and the problem was resolved there. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find a solution for this issue on Linux.

Regards,
Karthik

Hello, @karthik_nikil

Thanks for your reply.

I tried testing it on my side and sorry that I did not reproduce the issue.

Below is my installed list for installing the RTD, shared for your reference.

You may try uninstalling the S32E/Z configuration tools first and then try installing the RTD.

Hello Chenyin,

Thank you for checking and for sharing the installed RTD list.

To better understand the setup on your side, could you please let me know which S32 Design Studio (S32DS) version you are currently using (including the exact version number)?

This will help me align my environment accordingly and try the suggested steps more accurately.

Thanks again for your support.

Best regards,
Karthik

Hello @chenyin_h ,

Thank you for your guidance earlier.

I would like to share some additional details and ask for your help on a few points.

I have successfully installed the S32Z2E Real-Time Drivers (RTD).

Initially, I tried installing and working with Linux, but I was not able to proceed further. After switching to Windows, the RTD installation completed successfully.

However, I am now facing another issue on Windows:

  • After installing the S32Z2E RTD, when I try to create a new project in S32 Design Studio

  • I select the board S32Z280

  • On the SDK selection page, I am unable to see the PlatformSDK for S32Z2E

  • At the same time, in the SDK Manager, the S32Z2E SDK appears to be installed correctly

Because of this, I am not able to proceed with project creation.

Could you please help me.

Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Karthik

Hello, @karthik_nikil

Thanks for your reply.

I suggest trying the following way:

chenyin_h_0-1771560730337.png

Since the RTD of S32Z is developed and tested under GCC10.2, to change it to the corresponding version and then the SDK could be selected.

Hello @chenyin_h ,

Thank you for your support.

The SDK is now visible in the project creation page, and I am able to see the required PlatformSDK file.
