Flashing GreenVIP using S32 Flash Tool on S32Z2

Hi NXP Team,

I am trying to flash binaries to the S32Z280-594 EVK following the provided user guide. The guide does not explicitly mention the steps for flashing the S32Z using the S32 Flash Tool (S32FT). However, since the steps for the S32E are provided, I have been adapting those.

After putting the board into Serial Boot Mode, I successfully uploaded the target and algorithm for the hardware without any issues.

 

However, when I attempt to upload the files, I encounter an unexpected error.

Given the lack of dedicated steps for the S32Z family, I am unsure if my S32FT configuration is correct. Could anyone provide guidance or point out what might be going wrong?

References:

• I am following Section 9.3.2.2 (Flash using Serial Flasher over UART) of the UG_S32ZE_GreenVIP document.
• I have verified that the board jumpers are set according to Section 2.2 (Serial boot mode) of the S32Z280-594_UserGuide.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to flash the GreenVIP using the configurations which you provided and boot the EVK thereafter. 

Just out of curiosity, how do we determine the configurations of the hardware, and how do they depend on the software we are flashing?

Glad that the issue is solved.

Typically, it depends on the hardware differences, I suggest checking the corresponding schematic to check the type of different flash used.
